Working with an inspiring team at Volition to create a tool for disabled people to record their preferences in life. A living record to inform regular, occasional and one off supporters on how the person wants to be supported. The person being supported retains self-determination and is the Decision Maker in their own life.
Big focus on usability, accessibility, contrast (without being stark), using plain english, with user testing and purpose driven reviews.
A clear legible library for a person to communicate preferences and goals, to work through with their supporters.
A look at the ‘add preference’ step, and the resulting preference view.
A look at the ‘add a goal’ step, and the resulting goal views.
Within 6 broad high level categories, 6 relatable topics … which get auto-suggested by the system based on that details the person adds to a new record.
Library overview, view of topics within a category, and view of records within a topic. Records can be assigned to as many topics as wanted, however the person likes.
A range of prompts for new preference or goal records.
A supporter's view of volition: A list of people being supported, and clear access to their preferences, etc.
Supporters able to see prompts for the people they are supporting. Encouraged to add their perspective.
Support Provider organisations can invite clients and suggest staff supporters.
